Senior Technical Program Manager Lead, Pixel AI/ML

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Define and enforce launch criteria, development processes, and System Health requirements for all on-device AI/ML features, ensuring compliance with Safety, Security, Privacy, and Responsible AI standards.
- Lead the AI model upgrade lifecycle, from defining the process with partner teams to managing post-release retrospectives, and driving continuous improvement.
- Establish and manage an engagement model to ensure all incoming AI features from partner teams meet Pixel's readiness requirements, and publish a comprehensive playbook with best practices for development, safety, and testing.
- Standardize data collection, training, and feedback pipelines to support the international expansion of AI features, and implement process checks to ensure localized user experiences.
- Partner with leadership to collect, measure, and plan for the training and serving needs of all AI/ML projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in program management.
- Experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Generative AI.
- 10 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Ability to understand AI models and how they work with products.
